Hurricane Express provides our Driver Team Members with high-quality Class 8 tractor-trailer equipment.

Our customized Peterbilt and Kenworth trucks are maintained by skilled diesel mechanics, ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance.

We require a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in maintaining Class 8 tractors.

We offer competitive pay ranging from $26 to $32 per hour, depending on experience, along with a $2,500 sign-on bonus!

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive preventive maintenance on all Class 8 tractors
• Identify warranty-covered repairs and document them on the repair order
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Conduct road tests on vehicles as needed to diagnose issues or verify proper operation
• Utilize hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools including pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, jacks, and hoists.

Qualifications & Experience

• A minimum of three years of practical experience in Class 8 tractor maintenance is required
• Vocational or technical certification is preferred
• Specialized training in the repair and replacement of vehicle components is preferred
• Basic computer skills for data entry into maintenance systems are preferred
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions is required
• Regular and predictable attendance is crucial for the job
• Must possess tools and a suitable toolbox for a diesel mechanic.
