Duties Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs with care and confidence, utilizing animal handling techniques to ensure safety for both pets and staff Restrain dogs safely using appropriate animal restraint methods during grooming procedures Assess each dog's health condition, noting any skin issues or abnormalities that may require veterinary attention Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and well-maintained Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming preferences, special needs, and aftercare instructions Assist with pet care tasks such as feeding or administering medication if required by clients or veterinary staff Requirements Proven experience as a dog groomer with a strong portfolio of grooming styles and breed-specific cuts Knowledge of veterinary procedures related to animal health, including veterinary technician or assistant experience preferred Skilled in dog training techniques and understanding canine behavior for safe handling Familiarity with animal handling, restraint techniques, and pet sitting practices Ability to lift heavy equipment or dogs safely as part of routine grooming tasks Excellent customer service skills to build rapport with pet owners and address their concerns confidently Prior kennel experience or heavy lifting experience is a plus for managing larger breeds or multiple pets simultaneously Embark on a rewarding career where your expertise transforms pets' lives while building lasting relationships with clients.
