Our company engages in the sale, manufacturing, and distribution of metal building components and packages. We are currently seeking an ASE certified diesel mechanic for our fleet who thrives on being an integral part of our dynamic team. Join us and contribute to our collaborative and vibrant workplace! Here are the responsibilities and expectations of this role to ensure we are the right fit. You'll be responsible for (but not limited to): Perform routine care and maintenance for the BBM Fleet, including oil changes, checking fluid levels, rotating tires and maintenance of equipment Repair or replace worn parts, such as brakes pads, wheel bearings and sensors Identify problems, electrical and mechanical diagnostics Test parts, systems, and vehicles to ensure they work properly Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness of the shop Perform regular diagnostic test on fleet Maintains maintenance records on all vehicles and equipment. The most qualified candidates will have: Current ASE Diesel certification (required) Skilled in DOT inspections (required) 2+ years of experience in relevant field (preferred) Mild welding skills/fabricating skills (certification preferred) Effective communication expertise and proficiency in problem-solving. Detailed attention to record keeping Current TNDL with F endorsement (required) DOT Medical Card (be willing to obtain one) Able to provide your own tools (preferred) What we can offer you: $26.00 to $32.00 per hour depending on experience Dynamic work setting within a secure privately held company.
