Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist with menu planning by providing input on dish execution and ingredient selection. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines. Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination. Support catering events and special functions by preparing dishes in large quantities while maintaining quality standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods. Demonstrate excellent knife skills and food preparation techniques to optimize efficiency and safety. Experience Proven experience as a line cook in a fast-paced restaurant or culinary environment, preferably with fine dining experience. Strong background in food industry practices including food handling, cooking, meal preparation, and food safety protocols. Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with specialized dietary needs. Experience in menu planning, catering, and serving large groups is highly desirable. Demonstrated proficiency in kitchen skills such as food preparation, knife handling, and cooking techniques. Knowledge of the principles of food safety and sanitation regulations required for maintaining a safe kitchen environment.
