If so, we have a great opportunity with the Department of Correction! The State of Connecticut, Department of Correction (DOC) is currently seeking a Clerk to work within their Fiscal Services Inmate Accounts Unit at their Central Office in Wethersfield, CT. The Clerk is responsible for daily travel to State facilities to collect and verify admission and bond funds for transport back to Central Office, as well as handling Fiscal department mail. The Clerk also performs general clerical duties such as processing, reception, filing, and recordkeeping.

Full-time, on-site role following a first-shift schedule (Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week). Hybrid work is not available for this position. Requires daily travel throughout the State of Connecticut with the utilization of a State vehicle. This position will serve courier duties between the agency's Central Office in Wethersfield and its facilities.ABOUT US

• Experience with driving in all weather conditions for approximately two (2) hours or more per day, five days per week. Experience delivering packages and completing a range of tasks within and outside the Department (various facilities, post office or supply warehouse). Experience with cash handling, counting and making bank deposits; Experience with computer office systems such as Excel, Word, and Outlook; Experience using office equipment such as copy machines, mail sorters, and stampers; Experience with verbally communicating with a diverse group of individuals both in-person and over the phone.
