Experienced Plumbers Apprentice

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Experienced Plumbers Apprentice to join our team. As a Plumbers assistant, you will work under the guidance of experienced plumbers to learn and develop the necessary skills for a successful career in plumbing where you will move up in 6 months to a year. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in the construction and plumbing industry and wants to gain more hands-on experience and move up.

Duties:

• Assist with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential homes
• Learn how to use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete plumbing tasks
• Assist with pipe fitting, soldering, welding, and brazing
• Read and interpret information on pipes, fittings and more
• Perform basic math calculations to determine measurements and quantities of materials needed
• Assist with pipe threading and cutting
• Ability to write out route sheets
• Gain knowledge of water heaters, sump pumps, pressure tanks and more
• Provide field service support as needed
• Help Maintain a clean work environment/ Maintain a clean work truck or van

Requirements:

• 1-2 Years of prior plumbing experience required
• Valid North Carolina drivers license
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong interest in the plumbing industry
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
• Must be prompt with attendance
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced plumbers
