Experienced Veterinary Assistant GP / Surgery / Urgent Care

Molalla River Veterinary Center is a privately owned small animal practice seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team. We are focused on compassionate medicine, low-stress handling, teamwork, and continuing to build efficient systems that support both patient care and staff well-being. Our clinic provides a combination of general practice, urgent care, and surgery. We are looking for someone who enjoys being hands-on, likes to stay busy, communicates well, and takes pride in helping a small clinic function smoothly. Interest in surgery, anesthesia, organization, and procedural workflow is especially valued. This position is ideal for someone who: Enjoys both patient care and helping improve clinic flow Likes being part of a collaborative small team Is proactive and detail-oriented Wants to continue learning and growing clinically Is comfortable cross-training and helping where needed Responsibilities may include: Assisting with surgery and anesthesia Patient restraint and low-stress handling Medication administration and treatments Laboratory sample collection and diagnostics Client communication and education Maintaining organization and treatment flow Accurate medical record keeping

Qualifications:

Veterinary assistant experience

REQUIRED

Low-stress handling experience preferred Strong communication and multitasking skills Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to team culture

Compensation & Benefits:
