Experienced Veterinary Technician

WHAT SETS YOU APART

You are a skilled, experienced, and compassionate Veterinary Technician. You will be responsible for assisting our veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to our patients, as well as providing exceptional customer service to our clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist veterinarians with exams, procedures, and surgeries as needed. Administer medications, vaccines, and other treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian. Obtain and record patient history, vital signs, and other medical information accurately and efficiently. Perform diagnostic tests such as bloodwork, urinalysis, and radiographs. Ensure that all medical equipment is maintained and in good working order. Provide compassionate care to our patients and communicate effectively with their owners. Maintain patient medical records accurately and up to date. Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and restocking exam rooms and treatment areas. Adhere to OSHA and clinic safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Participate in training and development programs offered by the clinic or external providers. Stay up-to-date with industry developments, trends, and best practices. Perform other duties as assigned.

To join our team, you will also possess these qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a veterinary technician program preferred. At least 2 years of experience working as a veterinary technician in a veterinary clinic, animal hospital, or related field. Knowledge of animal care, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology. Experience with veterinary software, medical records management, and basic computer skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work effectively in a team environment, take initiative, and problem-solving. Must have reliable transportation and attendance.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods of time and perform repetitive motions.
