Job Description
A well-known California based Wholesale Tree Nursery with a great company culture is looking to add a Texas based Experienced Wholesale Tree Sales Rep to their team. The ideal candidate can reside anywhere in Texas and will cover a 14-state territory. Benefits include a company truck (for both work and personal use), health insurance, 401K, PTO, and more. First year's salary is fixed, and the second year will begin a draw against commission. You will be taking over and growing an existing book of business as the current person in this position is retiring.
Key responsibilities include:
Selling Palm, Fruit and various other tree varities wholesale and commercially Securing B2B orders by building and maintaining relationships with landscape contractors, garden centers, developers and acting as a technical advisor on tree varieties Growing a territory and managing existing customers Educating and answering questions regarding tree health, transplanting, and feeding recommendations Process sales through the company's POS/inventory system Coordinate with shipping teams to ensure timely deliveries Qualifications for consideration. A strong understanding of tree/plant identification growing zones A bachelor's degree or equivalent in horticulture or a related field 3+ years of wholesale nursery sales experience Full knowledge of both bare root and potted trees Ability to work independently and alongside a sales team Excellent verbal and written communication skills Physical stamina to work long hours during the busy season Must be willing to travel and cover a large territory Able to provide professional references Must currently reside in Texas and have a valid U.S. driver's license Please submit a resume for consideration.
