Job Summary:
The External Marketing Director / Liaison is responsible for driving census growth through the development and maintenance of strong relationships with external referral sources. This role focuses on community outreach, marketing, and business development to achieve the facility's census and financial goals while ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal standards, as well as established company policies and procedures.   • Major Duties and Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute external marketing and outreach strategies to increase referrals and achieve census goals.
  • Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with referral sources including hospitals, physicians, discharge planners, home health agencies, and hospices.
  • Represent the facility at health fairs, community events, and networking functions to strengthen our presence in the community.
  • Conduct regular visits, presentations, and follow-ups with referral partners to promote our facility's programs and services.
  • Collaborate closely with the Admissions and Business Office teams to ensure smooth transitions for new residents and effective communication with referral partners.
  • Track and analyze referral data, market trends, and admissions reports to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Partner with leadership to develop and update marketing materials, outreach initiatives, and community engagement strategies.
  • Ensure all marketing and admissions activities are conducted in compliance with state, federal, and company standards.
  • Maintain a professional and compassionate presence that reflects the mission and values of our skilled nursing facility.
Qualifications Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in external healthcare marketing, business development, or liaison roles within a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting.
  • Proven success in census development and occupancy management.
  • Strong understanding of the post-acute care continuum and referral processes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of long-term care regulations and compliance standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Healthcare Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
