Eyelet Toolmaker Apprentice

Braxton Caribbean Manufacturing has been in business for over 50 years specializing in deep drawn metal stamping. We serve the medical, communications, aerospace, automotive, military, commercial and electronics industries with the highest quality and precision deep drawn stamping technology available in the industry. We have openings for qualified individuals to train for a career in manufacturing.

Eyelet Toolmaker Apprentice Requirements:

A good mechanical aptitude with a passion to work in manufacturing.

Desired skills:

• High school graduate
• Intermediate math skills (algebra, geometry, etc.)
• Knowledge of machine theory
• Ability to read blueprints
• Operation of basic toolroom and inspection equipment (Micrometer, plug gages/ring gages, hand tools)
• Ability to make basic tools and components, fixtures, etc. from instructions using conventional machinery such as engine lathes, mills, grinders)
• Must have basic computer skills
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Must be able to work overtime as needed, remain flexible and open to possible schedule changes in order to meet business needs.

Responsibilities:

To complete the apprenticeship training program and certify in Eyelet or Carbide toolmaking.

• Set up machines to company specifications.
• Maintain production on machines.
• Communicate any problems with the machines to the supervisor.
• Maintain layouts and job information sheets.
• Always maintain a neat and tidy work environment.
• Maintain a safe workplace and report all unsafe conditions to the safety committee or supervisor.
• Train and cross train with other toolmakers and apprentices.

Hours Mon

• Thurs 6:00am
• 4:00pm Pay Rate $18
• $20 per hour (Paid Weekly)
