Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an F-18 Maintenance Control to support the F-18 program at Naval Air Station (NAS) Joint Reserve Base (JRB) New Orleans in Belle Chasse, Louisiana .Position Responsibilities:
Leads, plans, organizes and controls the maintenance and repairs and the release of F-18 aircraft. Must be able to work rotating shifts and travel for detachments. Incumbent shall supervise and coordinate maintenance efforts on assigned shift, to meet the daily flight schedule. Serve as subject matter expert to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on matters pertaining to polices, plans and objectives. This incumbent must possess a level of experience necessary to inspect all aircraft assigned, certify Aircraft/Engine Logbook entries, and coordinate maintenance control responsibilities. Must possess O-level experience as a maintenance control supervisor F-18. Must have a thorough working knowledge of the Naval Aviation Logistic Command Management Information System (NALCOMIS). Candidate must currently hold and maintain "Safe for Flight" certification. Candidate must have good communication skills both orally and written. Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects. Inspect the aircraft to certify that all maintenance performed by the team is correct and complete. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at NAS JRB New Orleans in Belle Chasse, LA. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Candidate must currently hold and maintain "Safe for Flight" certification. Minimum of 5 years' experience on F-18 platform Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Maintenance Controller Willing to work variable shifts; including days, evenings, nights and weekends Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience with recent aircraft organizational level maintenance is required. Read, interpret and use manufacturers and aircraft maintenance manuals, service bulletins, blueprints, wiring/schematic diagrams, data tables and other specifications to determine feasibility and method to repair or replace malfunctioning or damaged components.
