Fabrication Shop/Delivery Driver

Fabrication Shop / Delivery Driver Position Summary The Fabrication Shop Employee / Delivery Driver is responsible for supporting daily shop operations, assisting in the fabrication and assembly of products, and delivering completed orders to jobs in a timely and professional manner. This role requires a combination of hands-on shop skills and safe, reliable driving practices. Key Responsibilities Fabrication & Shop Duties Assist in the fabrication, assembly, and finishing of metal or manufactured products Operate shop equipment such as saws, grinders, drills, welders, and other machinery (as trained) Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, or work orders Measure, cut, and prepare materials according to specifications Perform basic welding or assist welders (if qualified) Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and company procedures Assist with inventory management and material handling Load and unload materials and finished goods Delivery Driver Duties Safely operate company vehicles to deliver products to job sites Load and secure deliveries to prevent damage during transport Verify delivery contents against invoices or packing lists Plan efficient delivery routes and communicate any delays Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks Report vehicle issues, accidents, or delays promptly Qualifications Required Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to operate or learn fabrication tools and machinery Strong work ethic and attention to detail Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work Basic math and measurement skills Dependable and punctual Preferred Experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, or welding environment CDL (Commercial Driver's License) (if applicable) Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) Knowledge of metalworking or construction materials Skills & Competencies Mechanical aptitude Time management and organization Safe driving practices Teamwork and communication skills Problem-solving ability Work Environment Combination of shop/warehouse environment and outdoor driving environments Exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Physical Requirements Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and carrying Ability to lift and move heavy materials Ability to enter and exit delivery vehicles regularly Compensation & Schedule Full-time Hourly pay based on experience Overtime may be required Benefits include health insurance, PTO, and retirement plan
