Job Description

Schwing Bioset are seeking an experienced and driven Fabrication Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our weld/fabrication shop in North Branch, MN. This role is responsible for ensuring production efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and promoting a safe, team-oriented work environment. If you have a strong fabrication background and leadership experience, this is an opportunity to make a direct impact on production performance and team success. Key Responsibilities Hands on welding experience Manage all aspects of weld/fabrication shop operations, including scheduling, workflow, quality control, and personnel Maintain accurate production and quality records via online systems Coordinate with internal departments including sales, engineering, purchasing, and transportation Ensure employees follow shop orders and quality standards Oversee weld consumables and shop supplies per company and manufacturer requirements Train employees on welding processes, fabrication techniques, and safety procedures Conduct and document safety meetings and inspections Interface with third-party inspectors for quality compliance Plan production schedules and assign work to meet goals Monitor daily progress and address production challenges or bottlenecks Interpret blueprints, job orders, and specifications for production staff Inspect in-process and final assemblies to ensure compliance with project requirements Collaborate with engineering on changes and communicate updates to the team Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Minimum 2+ years of fabrication shop experience with a strong mechanical background Working knowledge of welding processes in a manufacturing environment Experience with roll forming, sheet metal, or metal fabrication Prior supervisory experience preferred Experience with production planning and scheduling preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge of fabrication safety standards Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods Preferred Skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated with strong attention to detail Excellent communication and leadership skills Flexibility to work overtime as needed Why Join Us?
