Full-Time About the Role Are you passionate about building things that work and solving complex mechanical puzzles with your hands? We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Fabrication Technician, responsible for the hands-on, custom construction and repair of artificial limbs (prostheses). This role is for a true craftsperson - someone who excels at turning detailed specifications into functional, life-changing devices. If you have a background in meticulous mechanical work (such as bike maintenance, auto repair, jewelry making, woodworking, or complex modeling) and are ready to apply those skills to a rewarding new career, we want to talk to you. No direct experience in Prosthetics (O&P) is required; we provide full, comprehensive training. Position Summary The Prosthetics Technician is responsible for the fabrication, modification, and repair of prosthetic devices in accordance with clinical specifications. This role requires precision, consistency, and the ability to work collaboratively to support timely patient care. As the company continues to grow, this position plays a critical role in maintaining production quality, workflow efficiency, and continuity of services. Key Responsibilities Fabricate and assemble prosthetic devices using a variety of materials, tools, and equipment Perform detailed measurements, alignments, and adjustments to ensure proper fit and function Modify and repair devices based on clinician direction and patient needs Maintain quality standards to ensure devices are safe and effective for patient use Follow all safety protocols and procedures in the lab environment Communicate with clinicians and team members regarding specifications, timelines, and issues Support overall workflow to ensure timely completion of devices Essential Functions Perform repetitive, fine motor tasks requiring sustained use of hands and fingers (e.g., sanding, trimming, assembling components) Maintain sufficient manual dexterity, coordination, and strength to complete detailed fabrication work Stand and/or work at a bench for extended periods of time Maintain a consistent and reliable work schedule to support workflow continuity and production timelines Complete work in a sequential and uninterrupted manner, as fabrication processes often require continuity and cannot be easily transferred between technicians mid-process Meet productivity expectations necessary to support patient care and operational demands Adapt to changing workload priorities as patient needs and business demands evolve Work Schedule & Expectations This position is structured as a full-time role based on current operational needs A consistent and reliable work schedule is required to ensure continuity of fabrication processes and team workflow Schedule expectations may evolve over time in response to business growth and patient demand Qualifications Experience in prosthetics fabrication, orthotics, or related technical field preferred Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines Work Environment Laboratory setting with exposure to tools, machinery, and fabrication materials Requires adherence to safety protocols and use of protective equipment as needed This job description is intended to outline the general responsibilities and essential functions of the position.
