Job Description

1st shift / 6am-2:30pm Mon-Fri. Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw metal materials into precise, high-quality components and assemblies that meet strict industry standards. Your expertise in various welding techniques, fabrication processes, and blueprint interpretation will be essential to delivering exceptional products on time. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced tools and machinery in a fast-paced environment dedicated to craftsmanship and innovation. Responsibilities Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication of metal components. Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other materials. Perform welding using MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques to join metals securely according to ASME codes & standards. Measure and mark materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools to ensure tight tolerances. Set up and operate rigging equipment such as cranes for lifting heavy or large metal parts safely during fabrication or assembly processes. Fabricate ductwork, piping, structural components, or custom metal assemblies for construction or manufacturing projects. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols related to welding, machining, rigging, and the use of power tools. Requirements Proven construction site experience or background in manufacturing environments involving metal fabrication. Proficiency in
MIG, TIG, FCAW
welding techniques; experience with welding is a plus. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings accurately. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for precise measurements and assembly. Experience with rigging operations including crane use for lifting heavy materials safely. Familiarity with pipe threading, soldering, sheet metal work, ductwork fabrication, and machining processes. Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to welding and fabrication practices is highly desirable. Valid certification or experience in construction site environments preferred; certifications in welding or rigging are advantageous.
