Our Lady of Guadalupe Church- 5194 Cold Spring Creamery Rd., Doylestown, PA 18901 Requirements Physical Requirements, Abilities and Work Environment Tasks Must be 18 years of age Ability to work well with other people Self-starter who anticipates what needs to be performed, develops a resolution concept, takes ownership, and completes tasks with a feeling of personal accomplishment Ability to send & receive text messages and emails Basic computer skills Shows attentiveness to details. The ability to exert moderate to heavy physical effort in work, including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching ; and lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials weighing 20 to 50 pounds. May involve heavier objects at times. Ability to climb ladders (8 ft. A Frame, 10 ft. Podium, Extension roof ladder) Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend for extended periods of time Valid Driver's License Summary General Duties Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our Church/Chapel, Parish Life Center (PLC), and Rectory Sets up tables and chairs for parish events, hauling, moving and retrieval of items, and related tasks requested by parish administration, staff, volunteers Ensures parish vehicles and equipment are maintained Changes church Sacra Lite candles weekly Secures and alarms the site as needed Ensures the collection and disposal of recycling and trash for the church and PLC between normal cleaning crew Open gates for trash removal company Performs daily inspections of basement for mechanical and water system issues, and facility /property exteriors for physical condition and cleanliness Performs cleaning outside of normal business operations ( i.e. accidental spills, overflows, clogged drains and toilets, busted pipes, storm damage, etc.) Aids in the removal of remnant snowmelt salt on floors, and sidewalk snow between normal cleaning crew assignments Maintains - fountains, flower beds, planters, etc. Maintains an inventory of supplies (i.e. lights, candles, cleaning, etc.) and orders as needed Hang and remove flags Ensure floor P traps are filled with water Set kitchen stove pilot lights if needed Unclog minor sink and toilet clogs Pick up trash from around site Ensure lower PLC thermostats and lights are checked and set correctly when not occupied Adjust courtyard light timers Stain pew scratches Stripe lines in parking lot Check bathrooms for paper supplies Set up and take down church signs near roads Ensure all walkways are clean and clear Allow access for repair/inspection personnel Assist ministries in holiday setup Performs other non-trade duties as required Notifies Maintenance Analyst when repairs are required This job description is not intended to give an all-inclusive listing of job activities.
