Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities, supporting both safety and efficiency across our manufacturing and residential environments. Your expertise will help create a safe, functional, and welcoming space for employees, visitors, and clients alike. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, machinery, and equipment using schematics and technical manuals. Troubleshoot electrical issues utilizing tools such as ohmmeters and work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to diagnose automation problems. Conduct welding repairs, mechanical adjustments, and residential painting to maintain facility appearance and functionality. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings to accurately identify issues and implement solutions. Operate CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to schedule maintenance tasks, document repairs, and track work orders efficiently. Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed throughout all activities. Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service by addressing internal maintenance requests promptly and professionally. Lead or support safety initiatives related to facilities maintenance operations while adhering to OSHA standards. Requirements Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or residential settings. Strong electrical experience including troubleshooting circuits, wiring, and PLC systems. Mechanical knowledge with hands-on skills in welding, plumbing, carpentry, or HVAC systems. Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and mechanical drawings accurately. Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management is preferred. Supervising or leadership experience is a plus for guiding maintenance teams or projects. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork. Use of tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting electrical issues.
