POSITION SUMMARY

Assist in ensuring proper upkeep of MCSPCA facilities, vehicles and grounds. Responsibilities include the day-to-day maintenance and safety of MCSPCA's three animal shelter facilities and fleet of MCSPCA vehicles.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Work collaboratively within all levels of the organization and across departments to cultivate a positive culture and team approach to fulfilling MCSPCA's mission. Respond to work requests in a timely manner. Perform or schedule preventive maintenance on the mechanical, electrical and building systems. Ensure grounds are maintained, clean and safe. Complete projects as requested including but not limited to general carpentry, equipment repairs, painting and kennel/cage repairs. Perform general repairs (drywall, fixtures, light changes, etc.). Report issues and work completions to the Facilities Manager. Support team members and engage volunteers as appropriate. Remain knowledgeable and in compliance with MCSPCA Personnel Guidelines, applicable State and Federal laws and MCSPCA policies, procedures and programs. Support programs and activities of MCSPCA as requested.

EXPERIENCE/ATTRIBUTES DESIRED

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Three years of experience working in maintenance related capacity. Basic understanding of equipment repair and maintenance including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and/or HVAC systems. Knowledge of OSHA and other environmental regulations.
