The Facilities Technician plays a key role in day-to-day facility upkeep, supporting the General Manager in maintaining a safe, reliable, and well-functioning greenhouse and warehouse. This role focuses on executing preventative maintenance, routine repairs, and timely issue resolution as needs arise. You'll work hands-on across mechanical, plumbing, and basic electrical systems (non-licensed), ensuring our infrastructure supports daily operations and peak season demand. During our busy fulfillment season (~24 weeks), you'll also support operations to help ensure a successful experience for both our team and our customers. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in maintaining a well-run environment, and is comfortable balancing planned work with real-time needs.ACCOUNTABILITY MATRIX

Facility Reliability, Safety & Operational Support Time:
100% Own the upkeep, safety, and performance of all greenhouse facilities and equipment through proactive maintenance, routine repairs, and rapid issue resolution. Execute basic, non-licensed mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work as needed, escalating to licensed professionals when appropriate . Support fulfillment operations during peak season (~24 weeks) while maintaining critical infrastructure. Deliverables | Frequency Preventative maintenance schedule executed and documented | Weekly Work orders and repair requests completed and logged | Daily Facility inspections (safety, systems, grounds) completed | Weekly Equipment uptime tracked; issues resolved or escalated | Weekly Routine, non-licensed repairs performed (mechanical, plumbing, electrical) | As warranted Parts and maintenance supply inventory maintained and reordered | Weekly Maintenance and improvement project updates provided to GM | Monthly Participation in GEMBA walks with completed action items | Weekly Support fulfillment operations (line, plant movement, receiving) during peak season (~24 weeks) | Seasonal Workshop and maintenance areas kept organized and functional | DailyREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, mechanical repair, or similar hands-on role Working knowledge of basic mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems (non-licensed work) Ability to troubleshoot issues and perform repairs independently Our business operates with clear seasonal peaks and valleys, so this role requires someone who can handle high-intensity workloads during busy periods and remain productive and self-motivated when things slow down. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks Comfort working in a fast-paced, seasonal environment Ability to communicate clearly with team members and leadership Willingness to jump in and support operational needs during peak season We're gardeners - you should be too… or at least possess a thirst to learn!PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This is a hands-on, active role.Candidates should be able to:
Stand, walk, and move throughout facilities for extended periods Lift, carry, and move materials and equipment up to 50 lbs Perform repetitive tasks and use hand and power tools according to safety standards Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Climb ladders and access equipment safely Maintain awareness of surroundings in an active warehouse/greenhouse environmentOUR CULTURE
