Facility Maintenance Technician — Urgently hiring for Facility Maintenance Technician for western Cuyahoga County and parts of Lorain County (mostly Elyria). These are 6-7 facility locations scattered across the specified area.

Join a dynamic company as a Facility Maintenance Technician and play a vital role in maintaining safe, efficient, and well-kept facilities. As a Facility Maintenance Technician, you'll ensure the physical integrity of multiple properties by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and grounds support. You'll work closely with the Facilities Manager to keep everything operating seamlessly, making a positive impact on the safety and functionality of the work environment. What You'll Do As a Facility Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for: Performing routine and emergency maintenance on building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, doors, and structural components.
  • Conducting general upkeep to promote safe and efficient warehouse and building operations.
  • Reporting facility concerns and recommending corrective actions to improve safety and performance.
  • Contributing to improvement projects to enhance building functionality and operational efficiency.
  • Conducting preventative maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, batteries, chargers, and other operational tools.
  • Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, coordinating with outside vendors for specialized repairs.
  • Keeping tools and maintenance equipment in safe, working order.
  • Supporting exterior property upkeep including seasonal landscaping and snow removal activities.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety of parking lots, sidewalks, dock areas, and entrances.
  • Assisting with minor repairs, painting, and general labor tasks related to facility operations.
  • Documenting maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and inventory of supplies and parts.
  • Following safety policies, ensuring OSHA standards are met, and handling emergency maintenance tasks, sometimes outside regular hours. What You'll Bring The ideal candidate for this role will have: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).
  • Prior experience in warehouse, facility, commercial, or industrial maintenance (preferred).
  • Experience servicing warehouse equipment such as forklifts is highly advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems is a plus.
  • Mechanically inclined with troubleshoot skills and safety focus.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
