Job Description

Faculty:
Instructor of Biology and Wildlife Conservation Description Eastern Oklahoma State College is a comprehensive community college providing instruction in a wide range of curricula.
Qualifications:
Required:
Master's degree in Biology/Wildlife Biology/Conservation or a Master's degree in a closely related natural sciences field with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in biology courses. Commitment to the mission of Eastern Oklahoma State College Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to carry out related faculty duties as assigned
Preferred:
Successful college-level teaching experience Ph.D. degree in
Biology/Wildlife Conservation Responsibilities:
This position will be an interdisciplinary position in which the person hired will teach biology courses in the Science and Mathematics Division and wildlife conservation courses in the Division of Agriculture. Responsibilities include teaching 15 credit hours each semester, developing curricula, advising students, participation in division/department/college-wide student assessment, departmental and institutional service, holding 10 office hours per week, and the pursuit of continuous professional development. This position will also require recruitment of students into a Wildlife Biology/Conservation program. Courses assigned can include evening classes and/or courses taught at other Eastern teaching sites. Teaching must demonstrate learner-centered philosophy and an ability to engage and retain students. Internships are recommended to complement this program
Summer Opportunities:
Summer courses are offered as optional supplemental instruction, and research funding is available during the summer months.
Salary:
Salary will be based on educational level and years of teaching experience
