Schedule:

Tuesdays and Saturdays 8-6pm

Guaranteed Hours:

20 hours per week, with potential for additional hours as needed

Compensation:

$30/hour

Contract Term:

One-year commitment We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and experienced Family Assistant/Nanny to support our family and care for our 16-year-old daughter with special needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with developmental or behavioral needs and be comfortable collaborating as part of a care team.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive, supportive care for our daughter, including assistance with personal hygiene and daily routines
• Collaborate closely with our Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and follow established behavior plans
• Support skill-building, emotional regulation, and positive behavior strategies
• Assist with light household responsibilities, including:
• Meal preparation and light cooking
• Laundry and light cleaning/tidying
• Caring for our family dogs (feeding, basic care)
• Running household errands such as grocery pickup and other local errands as needed
• Supervise and assist with pool activities; candidate must be comfortable in and around the pool
• Transport our daughter as needed (candidate must have reliable transportation)

Required Qualifications:

• Clean background check
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Reliable personal vehicle
• Comfort working in a home with pets
• Ability to maintain professionalism, discretion, and clear communication
• Ability to provide professional and/or family references upon request

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in special education, applied behavior analysis, behavioral therapy, or related fields
• Prior experience working with adolescents with special needs
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Interview & Selection Process:

• Selected candidates will participate in an initial Zoom interview
• Final candidates will be invited for a paid 3-4 hour in-home trial to ensure a mutual fit prior to final selection

Additional Details:

• Guaranteed 20 hours per week with consistent scheduling
• One-year contract beginning in May, with the possibility of renewal
• Long-term, part-time role with stability and predictability
