The ideal candidate will create a positive learning environment and deliver engaging, real-world instruction that prepares students with essential life skills.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver standards-based instruction in Family & Consumer Science courses (e.g., nutrition, culinary arts, personal finance, child development, career readiness, and life skills)
• Create hands-on learning experiences that connect content to real-life applications
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
• Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to support growth
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance
• Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and community partners
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
• Sponsor and support student organizations such as FCCLA (if applicable)
• Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives Required Qualifications
• Valid teaching certification
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
