Job Description

Klie Law Offices - Family Law Paralegal located in Canton, OH Are you passionate about helping people and eager to be part of a high-performing team with an unmatched culture? You'll be at the heart of our mission, coordinating the details of family court hearings and supporting our attorneys in changing clients' lives for the better. In this role, you'll work closely with our dedicated attorneys to assist them during the litigation process. You will be handling tasks such as legal research, document preparation, and trial support. Compensation:
$45,000 - $56,000 annually including performance bonuses
Responsibilities:
Organization and preparation of filings for family court proceedings Maintenance of electronic case files; document and maintain case details Maintain open and clear communication with clients, keeping them informed and reassured throughout the legal process, as well as working with them to obtain information and evidence for the case Creating Equitable distribution charts and other pleadings under the direction of the attorney Assisting attorneys with drafting, proofreading, filing, and service of correspondence Obtaining and analyzing evidence such as personal financial records, including bank records, taxes, agency reports and filings, school records, and income and salary information (including the creation of spreadsheets and chronologies) Assisting the attorney with drafting discovery responses Assisting with hearing preparation, including the assembly of evidence binders and the coordination of witnesses Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and provide valuable insights to the legal team
Qualifications:
Experience as a Paralegal (3 years preferred) Attention to detail and accuracy to produce error-free, quality documentation Strong organizational skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook Experience with case/practice management software Experience tracking billable time per case on a daily basis in time tracking software Problem-solving skills Ability to follow directions and procedures Time management, the ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational skills A deep passion for helping families find their way forward About Company Klie Law Offices, PLLC, is a growing litigation firm dedicated to guiding clients through challenging times with honest and efficient service.
