Job Description

Please leave a good method of contact if you are interested. Nice environment, friendly staff. This is a part time position. 2-3 days a week hours would be 8-6 Monday-Thursday are the clinic hours. Nurse Practitioner will function as an independent practitioner who and is responsible for managing health problems both acute and chronic and coordinating health care for the patient in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations and the nursing standards of care (assessment of health status, diagnosis, development of plan of care and treatment, implementation of treatment plan, and evaluation of patient status) management is conducted in collaboration with other health care team members. Essential responsibilities Functions independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical for acute problems, and chronically ill patients. Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient's age-specific needs. Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities. Monitors the effectiveness of interventions. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals. Facilitates staff, patient and family decision making by providing educational tools. Be proficient is skills including clinic functions when needed in IV placement, lab work, time management. Be friendly and understanding to the patients needs and requirements to maintain a well patient client relationship Work involves regular and recurring exposure to infection and contagious diseases. Standard precautions will be required such as gloves, gowns, mask, or goggles. Employee will be required to document patient care and encounter in EHR. The employee must be punctual and report for duty for scheduled shifts The employee must present themselves in a professional manner Minimum qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure and certification Hold a DEA and OBNDD with active status.
