Job Description

Introduction The Family Pastor oversees the spiritual development and biblical teaching of children, teenagers, and parents, integrating them into the life of the church. They bridge generations by leading family ministries (preschool to high school), mentoring volunteers, equipping parents for discipleship, and managing pastoral care related to family issues.
Key Responsibilities Leadership:
Oversee children and youth ministries to ensure consistent biblical teaching, often leading student ministries (grades 6-12).
Parental Partnership:
Provide resources, training, and seminars to help parents spiritually train their children.
Volunteer Recruitment & Training:
Recruit, train, and support volunteers to lead in ministries.
Pastoral Ministry:
respond to spiritual needs and be available during times of crisis.
Event Planning:
Plan, oversee, and execute family events and milestones.
Strategic Planning:
Develop a cohesive strategy for family discipleship and evangelism within the church.
Qualifications and Skills Education:
Bachelor's degree in theology, youth ministry, or a related field.
Experience:
2+ years of experience in children or youth ministry.
Leadership:
Strong ability to build, lead, and empower teams and volunteers.
Communication:
Effective teaching skills for both children/youth and adults.
Relationship Building:
A relational, organized, and proactive team player. Schedule/Expectations Sundays and midweek evenings are required. Maintain consistent office hours. Occasional evenings for events, VBS, camps, sporting events, or student retreats. Core Values Must be a born-again believer and feel called to the Gospel ministry. Salary:
45-50K
