Job Description

Family Support Specialist / Family Resource Specialist Full-Time | 33.5 hrs/week | $18.00-$19.50/hour Do you enjoy supporting families and making a positive difference in your community? Healthy Families Chemung County is seeking a compassionate Family Support Specialist/Family Resource Specialist to work with pregnant individuals and families with young children (birth-5) in Chemung County. In this role, you'll build trusting relationships with families through home visits, share parenting and child development education, and connect families to helpful community resources. Using the Healthy Families curriculum, you'll support parents in creating safe, nurturing environments where children can thrive. What You'll Do Build trusting, supportive relationships with families through regular home visits Provide prenatal, parenting, health, and child development education Support families in creating safe, nurturing home environments Partner with families to develop and update individualized service plans and goals Connect families with community resources and follow up on referrals Document family progress and complete required assessments and notes Participate in Healthy Families training and ongoing professional development Assist with outreach efforts to engage families in the program Why You'll Love Working Here You'll receive ongoing training and professional development through the Healthy Families program You'll be supported by a collaborative, family-focused team that values learning, collaboration and compassion You'll build meaningful relationships with families and see the impact of your work over time You'll enjoy a consistent weekday schedule with no shift work , supporting work-life balance You'll have access to competitive benefits, including paid time off and medical, dental, and vision insurance What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred (Associate's degree with relevant experience considered) Compassionate, non-judgmental, and empathetic approach Knowledge of community resources and strong communication skills Computer skills required Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle

$18.00 - $19.50 per hour
