Duties Operate and maintain heavy farm machinery including tractors, combines, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance. Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on farm equipment. Supervise or assist with other farm workers in tasks such as heavy lifting, equipment operation, or animal care. Conduct repairs or modifications on machinery and infrastructure using welding skills or other maintenance techniques. Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance. Working hours are extended seasonally during planting, manure application, and harvest. Experience Need an understanding of basic mechanical functions and to safely operate and maintain a variety of equipment. Chemical application experience a plus but not required. Truck maintenance experience a plus but not required. Most learning can be done on the job.
