Farm Hand/Equipment Operator

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and dependable Farm Hand to support daily ranch and farm operations. This position requires hands-on experience with cattle, strong mechanical ability, and skill operating heavy equipment such as tractors, skid steers, and loaders. Responsibilities include livestock care, equipment operation and maintenance, fence repair, pasture upkeep, and general farm labor. The ideal candidate is hardworking, reliable, able to work independently, and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Competitive pay based on experience. Duties Feed, water, and care for cattle; monitor herd health and behavior Assist with sorting, moving, and loading livestock Operate tractors, skid steers, and other heavy farm equipment Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and vehicles Repair fences, gates, barns, and livestock pens Maintain pastures, mow, bush-hog, and manage brush control Haul equipment, supplies, or livestock as needed Clean barns, pens, and work areas to maintain safe, organized facilities Assist with hay production and storage (baling, cutting, raking, stacking) Perform general labor and farm chores as needed Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe work environment Experience Previous farm or ranch experience required Hands-on cattle handling experience (sorting, moving, health checks) Ability to safely operate tractors, skid steers, and other farm equipment Basic mechanical skills - preventative maintenance & minor repairs Experience with fencing, pasture maintenance, and general farm labor Valid driver's license required (CDL a plus) Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather
