Farm Maintenance & Truck Operator

Job Overview Virginia Beef Corporation is a large family-owned and operated farm consisting of cattle, grain, and certified sod, looking for a driven individual to join our team. Responsibilities include operating light excavation equipment, grain facility assistance and general farm labor. Qualified candidates should have mechanical knowledge and abilities to perform daily maintenance on equipment. Interested candidates should be self motivated and willing to work some weekend hours. Key Responsibilities

• Drive road tractors to assist and support field operations
• Perform routine maintenance on farm machinery and fleet vehicles
• Assist in managing grain bins and handling systems, including:
• Loading and unloading grain safely and efficiently.
• Monitoring grain quality and moisture levels.
• Performing regular inspections and cleanouts to maintain grain quality.
• Maintaining grain augers, fans, and dryers as needed.
• Operate and maintain a variety of farm equipment, and light excavation machinery and grain-handling equipment
• Assist with maintaining and repairing farm facilities, including barns, feed areas, fencing, storage buildings, and equipment sheds.
• Follow all farm safety policies and procedures.
• Work cooperatively with other team members to meet operational goals. Qualifications
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience servicing farm equipment or heavy machinery.
• Welding, fabrication, or electrical ability
• CDL/ability to drive manual road tractor
• Self-motivated and dependable with strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work weekends seasonally or extended hours during busy seasons.
• Ability to work in a team driven environment.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor in varying weather conditions.
• Must be comfortable working at heights including climbing and working on grain bins
• Comfort working around livestock, machinery, and outdoor environments
