Farm Manager

Rockhill Farms is seeking a dedicated, experienced Farm Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure the continued success and upkeep of our property. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who takes pride in land stewardship, equipment management, and maintaining a well-run agricultural operation. Position Overview The Farm Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the farm, including pasture care, hay production, equipment oversight, and general property maintenance. The ideal candidate is reliable, self-motivated, and experienced in both farming operations and land management. Key Responsibilities Oversee and execute daily farm operations Perform and manage hay production , including cutting, raking, and baling hay Maintain and improve hay fields (fertilizing, mowing, weed control, etc.) Handle landscaping and property upkeep , ensuring the farm is well-maintained and visually appealing Operate, maintain, and coordinate repairs for farm equipment and machinery Monitor and maintain fencing, irrigation systems, and infrastructure Assist with seasonal projects and general farm improvements Set priorities for farmhands and ensure tasks are completed properly and efficiently Ensure a safe working environment and proper use of equipment Qualifications Minimum 5 years of hands-on farming experience Strong knowledge of hay production and baling operations Experience with tractors and general farm equipment maintenance Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Physically capable of performing labor-intensive tasks in outdoor conditions Valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications Basic mechanical skills for troubleshooting and repairs Familiarity with field management best practices What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Opportunity to work on a well-established farm Supportive ownership with a commitment to quality and excellence
