• Full-time Overview Join our dynamic agricultural team as a Farm Mechanic and Operator, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining and operating a diverse range of farm machinery and equipment.

Duties Operate and manage various farm machinery including tractors, harvesters, irrigation systems, and other heavy equipment to ensure smooth daily operations Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on farm equipment using hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and other mechanical skills Conduct equipment inspections to identify issues early and carry out necessary repairs or coordinate with specialists for complex repairs Assist with animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, watering, health monitoring, and handling livestock including cattle and other farm animals Oversee safe operation of forklifts and other heavy machinery while adhering to safety protocols Support planting, growing, harvesting activities utilizing horticulture knowledge and irrigation systems Supervise or collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow, safety compliance, and quality standards across all farm activities Requirements Proven experience in supervising or leading small teams within an agricultural or farm setting Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair, welding, and maintenance of farm machinery Familiarity with animal husbandry practices and animal handling techniques Ability to operate forklifts, heavy equipment, power tools, hand tools, safely and effectively Knowledge of farming practices including horticulture, growing cycles, and crop management Physical ability for heavy lifting, prolonged standing or walking, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to planting or repairs Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; prior supervising experience is preferred We're excited to welcome motivated individuals eager to contribute their skills in a lively farming environment.
