Working here, you'll engage with multiple surgical specialties—general, orthopedics, ENT, OBGYN, podiatry, urology, and dental—ensuring each workday is dynamic and conducive to valuable learning. Exposure to various workplace styles and leadership approaches will increase your expertise and broaden your resume, positioning you for future professional success.
Schedule/Hours:
Primarily 8-hour shifts, Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (occasional earlier starts for case load needs) On-call rotation: Approximately 1 night every two-week pay period Weekend on-call: Every 5th to 6th weekend Participation in holiday call rotation
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program Surgical Technologist Certification preferred State of Iowa Mandatory Reporter training required American Heart Association BLS certification required Must reside within 30 minutes of the facility while on-call Experience in general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, OBGYN, podiatry, urology, and dental procedures is essential
Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms and assist surgical teams in varied specialties Ensure sterile environments and manage surgical instruments Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other professionals for optimal patient outcomes Participate in on-call and holiday rotation as scheduled
