In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing fences and decks that enhance the functionality and aesthetics of residential and commercial properties. Your expertise in carpentry, construction, and landscape features will help create durable, attractive outdoor spaces. Responsibilities Measure and mark installation sites accurately to ensure proper fit and alignment of fences and decks Assemble, frame, and install various fencing materials including wood, vinyl, or metal using hand tools and power tools Construct decks by framing, leveling, and securing support structures with attention to safety standards Operate heavy machinery Prepare the site by clearing debris, setting concrete footings or forms, and performing landscape maintenance as needed Conduct quality checks throughout the installation process to ensure durability, safety, and aesthetic appeal Skills Strong background in construction techniques with a focus on carpentry and frame carpentry Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and concrete finishing tools Experience with heavy lifting safely handling materials such as lumber, concrete blocks, or fencing panels Knowledge of masonry practices including concrete forming and hardscape installation Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings for precise project execution Familiarity with landscape maintenance and outdoor hardscape elements to complement fencing and decking projects Excellent problem-solving skills to adapt to site-specific challenges while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship
