Title:
Field Service Technician II Description:
Summary Must possess or be able to develop subject matter expertise in precision cooling and ultrasonic humidification systems. The technician should demonstrate a strong ability to learn new product technologies, interpret electrical schematics, and support product/control system integration. Responsibilities include delivering authorized field services such as start-up support, basic product instruction, commissioning assistance, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and building management system (BMS) interfacing. The role requires a dependable work ethic, effective time management, and strong customer service, computer, verbal, and written communication skills. The technician must also accurately document and report any installation, application, or quality concerns that may impact equipment performance or warranty coverage. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate the status of all service activities with Field Service Coordinators Review all technical documentation required prior to scheduled service visits Reduce company costs related to service and warranty activities whenever possible Maintain detailed records of all service work and submit reports promptly Provide customers with follow-up documentation related to start-up, warranty, and performance evaluations Accurately and promptly submit expense reports Maintain vehicle stock and inventory as needed Be available for overtime and after-hours assignments Travel as required for service assignments Attend technical and product training sessions as assigned Perform additional duties as required, including phone support when assigned Qualifications To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to carry out each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience High School Diploma and 1-2 years of trade school education in HVAC/R or related fields OR 7 years of related experience within the HVAC/R industry OR Journeyman or Master HVAC trade licenseCertificates, Licenses, Registrations EPA Type II Certification for refrigerant handling and reclamation Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Currently pursuing or already holding a Journeyman HVAC license or equivalent certification OSHA 10 Certification Language Skills Ability to read and follow written instructions Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers Ability to work independently from verbal instructions Mathematical Skills Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals Physical Requirements The physical demands listed are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of the role. While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to use hands for handling and operating tools, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and communicate effectively. The employee is frequently required to walk, climb, and maintain balance. The role requires the ability to climb ladders, work at elevated heights, and lift or move up to 75 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color recognition, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. The employee must also be able to travel by air to various job locations.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
