Our clients build more than just networks; they connect communities to new valuable digital opportunities. We are seeking an Installation Technician to join our team in Philadelphia, PA . In this role you will complete installation of products and services, resolve and troubleshoot issues while connecting face-to-face with customers. Why 1099.careers? Weekly Check Runs Access to Health Insurance through our partner (immediate sign up, no wait) Independent Work & Team Collaboration Career Development & Advancement Opportunities (access to all our client scope of work) Support scaling your business Access to vehicles, tools, and business insurance (we support you in growing your own business) The Role Completes installation of products and services Resolves and troubleshoot issues Connects face-to-face with customers; consulting, assisting and educating Prioritizes, organizes and efficiently completes tasks to meet deadlines Works independently Works in a variety of environments; indoors, outdoors, tight spaces, elevated Navigates a variety of terrains managing tools and equipment Strives to provide the best customer experience every day Requirements At least 3 years of experience in cable/fiber installation Excellent customer service, time management, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to learn and operate testing equipment and software/programs Ability to utilize hand tools, identify wire size/color and accurately utilize measuring devices Ability to carry, climb, operate, and work upon an extension ladder (approximately 28 feet high and 75 pounds) Ability to complete work indoors, outdoors, in tight spaces and elevated by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing, and working while standing up to 70% of the time Ability to safely navigate various terrains, managing equipment and tools A body weight of no more than 275 pounds to perform ladder work safely. •Safety is our #1 Priority. Have you previously completed work as a contractor or technician for Comcast/Verizon/Spectrum or any other major telecom providers? If so, what type of projects did you handle? What certifications do you hold related to fiber optics (e.g., FOACFOT, ETA
Fiber Optics Installer, OSHA)? Are your certifications current? Are you comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in inclement weather, and do you have experience running fiber through different types of dwellings (single-family homes, apartments, etc.)? Do you have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and the ability to carry and use a ladder and other necessary equipment? (If NO or None, that is OK) Do you have a 28' ft Ladder?
