Role:

We are a local generator company seeking a reliable Field Technician to service, diagnose, and repair residential and small commercial generator systems. This position focuses on hands-on work in the field, primarily with Cummins and Generac equipment. Ideal candidates have a strong mechanical or electrical background and are comfortable troubleshooting and completing repairs independently while interacting directly with customers.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose, service, and repair standby generator systems Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and load testing Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in the field Read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics Complete service reports and document work performed Travel to residential and small business job sites Provide excellent customer service during all service visits Communicate clearly with customers and answer basic questions on-site

Qualifications:

Hands-on experience with mechanical and/or electrical systems Familiarity with small engines, power systems, or generators preferred Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs with minimal supervision Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally face-to-face Valid driver's license with clean driving record Ability to safely lift and carry up to 75 lbs Basic computer or mobile device skills for service documentation

Basic Requirements:

2+ years of relevant experience (mechanical, electrical, or field service) Eligible to work in the U.S. Reliable transportation to and from work/service area Ability to follow safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines

Wage:
