The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Southcoast Region Support Services is looking for an Accountant 2/3 Flex in Juneau to help us Keep Alaska Moving!
BASE SALARY INFORMATION
Accountant 2: $2,484.00 / biweekly Accountant 3: $2,862.00 / biweekly What you will be doing: Accountant 2 Under direct supervision from the Administrative Operations Manager, this position serves as support for fund management of emergency capital projects. The incumbent will provide support as necessary for ensuring funding requirements are met on the Region's emergency capital projects under state and federal statutory and regulatory guidelines. Accountant 3 Under general direction from the Administrative Operations Manager, this position serves as support lead for fund management of emergency capital projects. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring all funding requirements are met on the Region's emergency capital projects under state and federal statutory and regulatory guidelines. The incumbent will assist in managing Emergency Funding Authorization Projects and the collection of information and documentation that is needed when the State is expecting to receive reimbursement from FHWA or FEMA for expenses related to an emergent event. The incumbent will orchestrate CH8 requested when needed and will certify internal cost transactions when needed. DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEE RECRUITMENT ONLY
Applicants must currently work in the department that is being recruited for and have held or currently hold permanent employment status in any position in the classified service as defined in Alaska Statute 39.25.100. Permanent employment status is defined as holding permanent status in ANY job class in the current period of employment with no break in service (separation from State of Alaska employment) since the permanent status was earned.
FLEXIBLY STAFFED
This position is flexibly staffed. This vacancy may be filled at either the Accountant 2 or Accountant 3 Level, depending on the applicant's training and/or experience. The full range of salaries is listed above. Starting salary will be determined by the level the position is hired at. If filled at Level 2, promotion to the Level 3 will occur upon successful completion of the probationary period and required training, as well as the applicant meeting the minimum qualifications of the higher job class.
