Business Office Manager/Accountant for Barfield Health Care Barfield Health Care is a family owned and operated business located in the beautiful city of Guntersville, Alabama. Come meet our wonderful staff and learn about this wonderful opportunity!! Oversee all functions of the business office including payroll, trust fund, accounts receivable and payroll. Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP and present to administrator and home office Prepare reports for monthly financial meeting and gather additional reports from other departments Be involved in AR and solve problems around insurance issues. Make collection calls. Learn and understand the Medicaid application process and be able to complete a Medicaid application and follow thru to approval Responsible for weekly budget meetings and problem solving around budget issues. Be an integral part of PDPM team weekly meeting and have in depth understanding of PDPM reimbursement system Review payroll, trust fund and billing reports and be able to fill in as need for those positions Assist with accounts payable-responsible for keying certain invoices/expenses into AP Monthly billing closeout of Accounts Receivable Handle cash flow of the business-maintain checkbook daily and develop weekly cash flow to make sure all obligations of the facility can be met. Prepare annual budgets for the business in conjunction with the administrator and corporate office. Involved in state survey process where needed Assist with audits as directed Other duties as assigned by administrator or corporate office
Qualifications:
Experience in skilled nursing or healthcare is preferred Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field - preferred Must be detailed oriented and organized Excellent communication skills and customer service skills Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager Ability to work with all levels of employees Proficient with
Excel Pay:
$42,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
