Job Description

Job Overview Since 1988, Tintronics Industries has been providing high quality electronic components manufacturing services to our customers. We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-time Controller Inspector to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for independently overseeing all accounting operations of the organization, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, reconciliations, financial reporting, month-end and year-end close, payroll journal entries, use tax compliance, and supervision of junior accounting staff. This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the company's financial records and reporting processes. The ideal candidate is a highly experienced accounting professional capable of managing the full accounting cycle, identifying and resolving financial discrepancies, implementing corrective actions, and maintaining strong internal controls with minimal supervision. Position requires a high degree of fiduciary responsibility, confidentiality, and professional judgment. Key Responsibilities Financial Oversight Independently oversee all accounting operations and daily financial activities. Ensure accuracy and integrity of the General Ledger. Manage month-end and year-end close processes. Prepare and review Profit & Loss Statements and Balance Sheets. Reconcile all bank statements and resolve discrepancies. Journal Entries & Reconciliations Prepare and post General Journal Entries (GJEs) and Adjustment Journal Entries (AJEs). Create and post bi-weekly payroll journal entries. Investigate and resolve accounting inaccuracies and variances. Ensure all financial records are balanced and accurate. AP/AR Oversight Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. Review AP & AR aging reports and address outstanding issues. Confirm and reconcile vendor invoices. Tax & Compliance Prepare and file Use Tax reports. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal financial controls. Support audit preparation and documentation, if applicable. Requirements Bachelor's degree (or equivalent years of experience) in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience required Prior experience independently managing full-cycle accounting operations required. Supervisory experience required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong knowledge of: General Ledger Accounting Financial Reporting Bank Reconciliations Adjusting Journal Entries Profit & Loss Statements Balance Sheets Asset, Liability, Capital, Income, and Expense Accounts Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accuracy. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a standard office setting with occasional visits to a controlled factory setting, which includes occasional use of personal protective equipment. When in the production area, employee will be required to use clothing and devices to prevent damage to production materials from electrostatic static discharge (ESD). Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Position requires sitting for extended periods and occasional walking through a controlled environment. Good manual dexterity and the use of hands and fingers to manipulate normal office equipment, including computers, faxes, copiers, and other devices is common. Pay:
$40.00 - $55.00 per hour
