Job Description

The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing a variety of professional accounting duties requiring strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. This position supports financial reporting functions, assists with general ledger activities, and ensures compliance with established accounting principles and organizational policies. The Staff Accountant is expected to manage time effectively, proactively identify work that needs to be completed, and provide support to team members as needed.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required .
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (BS or BAA) in Accounting required, or actively working toward degree completion.
Experience:
One (1) or more years of accounting or accounts payable experience preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions independently. Experience with computerized accounting systems preferred. Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
