full-time Accountant - Sales Tax Overview Join a growing and dynamic organization as a Sales Tax Accountant within our reputable Finance Department. In this role, you will take ownership of multi-state sales and use tax compliance, providing critical support to internal teams and ensuring adherence to evolving tax laws. Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Tax or CPA designation preferred) Experience with multi-state sales and use tax compliance Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with SAP and tax software (e.g., Vertex, Alteryx) is a plus Strong analytical and organizational skills Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Nice-to-Have Skills CPA or CMI designation (or actively pursuing) Industry experience in foodservice, vending, or support services Familiarity with tax registration, renewal, and permit management Experience with reconciliation processes for tax-related accounts Preferred Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, or a related field Prior experience in sales and use tax compliance across multiple states Exposure to tax-specific software and financial reconciliation tools At least 2+ years of relevant experience in a corporate setting Other Requirements On-site or hybrid work environment (specific arrangement to be discussed) Ability to handle large volumes of data and supporting documentation Willingness to stay current with tax law changes and compliance requirements No travel required unless specified by management We encourage qualified candidates to apply and become part of a collaborative team that values growth and excellence.
