Lease Accountant

Lease Accountant Location :

Birmingham, AL (Onsite) Our client is hiring a Lease Accountant to join their accounting team. This role will play a big part in managing lease-related financial activity, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and partnering with cross-functional teams to support accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for accurate accounting, reporting and compliance of lease-related transactions across the organization. Review and analyze lease agreements to ensure proper accounting treatment. Maintain lease schedules, including amortization and payment tracking. Ensure accurate reporting of rent, taxes, insurance and other occupancy costs. Perform monthly balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations relate to lease accounts. Support month end and year end close processes, including variance analysis and reporting. Assist with internal and external audit requests related to least accounting.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 2+ years of professional accounting experience Strong knowledge of GAAP Experience in a multi-entity or corporate environment Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
