Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented AP/AR Accountant to join our growing accounting team. This position is ideal for both experienced accounting professionals and early-career candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance who are eager to learn, develop their skills, and grow with our organization. Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, the AP/AR Accountant will manage day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable activities while supporting financial reporting, auditing, compliance, and process improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Process vendor invoices, payments, customer billings, cash receipts, and collections. Reconcile vendor statements and customer accounts.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
  • Prepare account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
  • Support preparation of financial statements and management reports. Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide excellent customer service. Skills Strong understanding of accounting concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and journal entries Proficiency in financial software such as QuickBooks Experience with accounts payable and receivable management, including collections account management and client communication Knowledge of GAAP standards and SOX compliance requirements for financial reporting Skilled in Excel data analysis using formulas, spreadsheets, pivot tables, and Excel data analysis techniques Skilled in
Microsoft Office:
PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Power BI Great communication and organization skills Excellent attention to detail with strong analysis skills for account reconciliation and account analysis tasks Ability to perform data entry accurately using 10 key typing skills while maintaining high productivity levels
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Will consider candidates approaching graduation in Accounting (degree to be conferred by December, 2026).
Preferred:
Accounting or finance experience, ERP/accounting software experience, CPA/CMA certification or pursuit of certification, and experience with audits or financial reporting.
