Arkansas Talent Group is proud to partner with a well-established, mid-sized public accounting and advisory firm to identify a Senior Tax Accountant / Tax Leader for their Harrison, Arkansas office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional who enjoys leading client engagements, mentoring staff, and playing a key role in shaping the success of a growing office. Key Responsibilities Lead the preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations Oversee tax planning and compliance strategies to optimize client outcomes and minimize risk Manage client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact Review work prepared by staff and provide guidance, mentorship, and technical training Conduct complex tax research and apply findings to client-specific situations Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate impacts to clients and team members Collaborate with firm leadership on client strategy, workflow management, and office growth initiatives Assist in developing and improving internal processes to enhance efficiency and quality of deliverables Support business development efforts, including identifying opportunities to expand client services Ensure deadlines are met while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and professionalism Participate in strategic planning and contribute to the overall success of the Harrison office
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required CPA license required 5-10+ years of public accounting tax experience Proven leadership experience, including reviewing work and mentoring junior staff Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax regulations across multiple entity types Experience with tax planning for individuals and closely held businesses Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships Strong organizational and project management abilities High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail Self-motivated with a desire to lead and grow within the firm
