Job Description
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. If degree is in Finance, successful completion of Intermediate Accounting I & II required.LICENSING/CERTIFICATION
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
Minimum three (3) years' accounting experience. OR applicable Masters in related field with minimum one (1) years' experience.ESSENTIAL ABILITIES

- Analyzes and reviews financial statements for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Assists in special projects, as directed.
- Assists with financial reporting audits, working with the internal audits, Arkansas Insurance Department, independent auditors, and/or Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association.
- Performs advanced accounting functions, including but not limited to preparation of journal entries, coding of invoices, accounting analysis and reconciliation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Prepares supporting financial data as required.
- Reconciles, confirms and maintains general ledger accounts.
- Reviews the work of peers providing coaching and mentoring to less experienced accountants.
