Senior Accountant Nixon Power Services - 2.7 North Little Rock, AR Job Details $75,000 - $95,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications CPA Bachelor's degree Accounting and finance experience Bachelor's degree in accounting Full Job Description Job Summary This position is responsible for promoting a strong partnership with the business by sharing analytical insights to improve company performance, performing variance analyses, and providing support for all accounting activities. This role will be responsible for month-end close activities, such as accruals, account reconciliations, and journal entries, as well as, participating in external audits. Essential Responsibilities Perform month-end accounting close activities including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations and other reporting schedules and data analysis. Review journal entries for accuracy and timely completion based on deadlines. Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis. Monthly margin review with internal teams. Proactively interact with other departments and personnel to gather information, resolve problems. Communicate regularly with clients (both internal and external) to fulfill client requests and needs. Assist with external and internal auditors to coordinate the annual audit, quarterly reviews and any corporate internal audit projects. Basic Financial Planning and Analysis, including variance reconciliation, sales projection, budget to actual bridge, other ad hoc reporting. Develop and drive process improvements, as needed. Performs other job-related duties as necessary. Knowledge & Skills Knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger is required. Multi-state or multi-location accounting experience strongly preferred. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively with strong attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Suite of programs. Ability to manage complex spreadsheets.

2-4 Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting from an accredited university or college is required. Working Environment / Conditions Normal office environment. Use hands/fingers to handle or feel. Reach with hands and arms. Stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Ability to sit for long periods of time.
