Staff Accountant EOS, Inc North Little Rock, AR Job Details Full-time $60,000 - $65,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Treasury management Spreadsheets Bachelor's degree Attention to detail GAAP Accounting Full Job Description The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting the company's accounting and financial operations by maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries. Perform monthly bank, credit card, and account reconciliations. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Review and reconcile fuel, maintenance, and transportation-related expenses. Prepare financial reports and assist management with budgeting and forecasting activities. Monitor cash flow and support treasury management functions. Assist with payroll processing and payroll-related reconciliations. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements. Support external audits and provide requested financial documentation. Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures and internal controls. Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned. QualificationsRequired Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Preferred Experience in the trucking, transportation, logistics, or freight industry. Knowledge of fuel tax reporting (IFTA) and transportation-related accounting.
