Our accounting team plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting billing operations, and ensuring the timely processing of accounting transactions. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment while working closely with experienced accounting leaders. Position Summary The Junior Staff Accountant will assist with daily accounting activities, billing support, account reconciliations, and general administrative accounting functions. The ideal candidate is organized, eager to learn, and comfortable working with numbers while supporting multiple accounting processes. Key Responsibilities Assist with preparing journal entries and maintaining supporting documentation. Support month-end close activities and account reconciliations. Generate client invoices and assist with weekly billing processes. Review billing information for accuracy and completeness. Assist with maintaining prepaid expense and fixed asset schedules. Help reconcile bank and credit card accounts. Prepare workers' compensation premium import files and other recurring reports. Research and help resolve billing and accounting discrepancies. Organize accounting records and maintain accurate supporting documentation. Provide administrative support to the accounting team, including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions as needed. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. 0-2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience. Internship or entry-level accounting experience is a plus. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the accounting field.
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
